Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a friendly, patient, and dependable caregiver to provide companionship and basic caregiving support to a client living with Parkinson’s disease in a senior living facility in Dallas, TX.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys spending time with seniors, building meaningful connections, and helping clients feel comfortable and supported. The primary focus is companionship, social engagement, and assistance with basic daily needs as necessary.
We are looking for a caregiver who is attentive, encouraging, and understanding of the challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
* Day Shift: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM * Night Shift: 8:00 PM–8:00 AM * Schedule: 12-hour shifts available seven days a week * Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour * Required Availability: Must be available for both weekdays and weekends.
Candidates should be flexible and able to accommodate scheduled shifts based on the client's needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Your primary responsibility will be to provide companionship while helping the client remain comfortable, engaged, and supported.
COMPANIONSHIP AND ENGAGEMENT
* Spend time with the client through friendly conversation and social interaction. * Encourage enjoyable activities appropriate to the client's abilities. * Provide emotional support and reassurance. * Help create a positive and comfortable atmosphere. * Offer patience and understanding when the client experiences challenges related to Parkinson’s.
BASIC CAREGIVING SUPPORT
* Assist with daily activities as needed and according to the care plan. * Provide reminders and guidance throughout the shift. * Assist with mobility when appropriate and within your training. * Help maintain the client's comfort and safety. * Observe and report changes in the client's condition or well-being.
COMMUNICATION AND SAFETY
* Follow established care instructions. * Communicate concerns to the appropriate staff or office contact. * Respect the client's privacy, preferences, and independence. * Maintain a safe and supportive environment.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal candidates will have:
* Previous senior care, caregiving, or companionship experience preferred. * A friendly, patient, and compassionate personality. * Familiarity with Parkinson’s disease preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Dependability and a commitment to punctuality. * Reliable transportation to the assignment. * Availability for scheduled 12-hour day or overnight shifts. * Flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is required. * A commitment to following care instructions and promoting client safety.
