Join Our Team:
We are searching for a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care of Wentville office located at 1078 Wentzville Parkway.
Opportunity:
* Full-time opening * Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. * No nights, weekends, or holidays * Outpatient clinical practice
Day-to-Day:
* Perform back office functions * Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients * Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height * Perform phlebotomy * Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen) * Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
Who we are seeking (preferred):
* The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers. * Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. * CPR Certification. * PC/Windows proficiency. * Medical coding familiarity. * Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction. * Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
