About the Role: This is a part time position to start (Must be able to work Monday, Friday and some Saturdays)
As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by performing ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. You will operate sophisticated imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of patients’ internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Your expertise will ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. You will collaborate closely with healthcare teams to provide timely and precise diagnostic information that supports effective patient care. This role demands a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and compassionate patient interaction to contribute meaningfully to clinical outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
· You must be certified in ECHO
· Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
· Preferred credentials: RDCS or RCS (Cardiac) and RVT or RVS (Vascular).
· Current BLS certification.
· Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and Doppler techniques.
· Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional certifications in specialty areas (e.g., RVT, RDCS) are highly desirable. * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare information technology. * Previous experience working in a hospital, outpatient clinic, or diagnostic imaging center. * Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient care and communication.
Responsibilities:
· Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, including 2D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler studies.
· Perform vascular studies, including carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, ABI testing, and abdominal aorta screening.
· Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and measurements according to established protocols.
· Prepare and position patients and explain procedures.
· Document findings and maintain accurate patient records.
· Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow safety and infection control standards.

The required skills enable the Ultrasound Technician to proficiently operate imaging equipment and produce clear diagnostic images essential for patient care. Attention to detail and technical aptitude ensure that images meet clinical standards and support accurate diagnoses. Communication skills are vital for explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with healthcare teams effectively. Preferred skills, such as expertise in specialized sonography areas and familiarity with EMR systems, enhance the technician’s ability to handle diverse cases and streamline workflow.
