About the Role:
The Medical Assistant - Floater plays a critical role in supporting multiple clinical locations by providing flexible, high-quality patient care and administrative assistance. This position requires adaptability to work across various departments and clinics, ensuring seamless operations and consistent patient experiences. The Medical Assistant will perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting healthcare providers during procedures. Additionally, they will manage administrative duties including scheduling, patient record management, and coordinating communication between patients and medical staff. Ultimately, this role ensures efficient clinic workflows and contributes to the delivery of excellent healthcare services across diverse settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent. * Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. * Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred or in progress. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical medical assistant role.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in multiple clinical settings or as a floater. * Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical support by taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations. * Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures and examinations as needed. * Manage patient scheduling, check-in/check-out processes, and maintain accurate medical records. * Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other healthcare team members to facilitate smooth clinic operations. * Adapt quickly to different clinical environments and workflows while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

The Medical Assistant - Floater utilizes clinical skills daily to perform patient assessments, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of medical information. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for coordinating patient flow and collaborating with diverse healthcare teams across multiple locations. Proficiency with electronic health record systems enables efficient management of patient data and scheduling tasks. Adaptability and problem-solving skills are critical to quickly adjust to varying clinic protocols and environments.
