The PA/NP will work under specific accreditation standards in collaboration with an attending physician to develop and implement direct care for Bariatric Surgery patients. The position will be primarily clinic-based in the Williston office, with regularly scheduled shifts in the OR at both UVMMC’s Main Hospital in Burlington and the Fanny Allen Campus in Colchester. Schedule This is a 1.0 FTE exempt position that will be scheduled to work five 8-hour shifts per week; 8am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday. No call or weekends required. Occasional adjustments to this schedule may be made to accommodate earlier starts based on OR support or patient needs. Experience Minimum 2 years full time clinical PA/NP practice experience required. The ideal candidate will have familiarity and experience with robotic surgical procedures This position requires an experienced practitioner who exhibits a high degree of independence and clinical autonomy. New graduates are not able to be successfully supported in this role. Education & Licensure Master’s degree required; Doctorate degree preferred. Current (or eligible) licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) from the VT State Board of Nursing or as a Physician Assistant (PA) from the VT State Board of Medical Practice.
