Engagement Overview
Bryan University, with the oversight of the Caregiver Training Institute, seeks an established, independent healthcare education professional or professionally qualified nurse to deliver expert instructional and clinical assessment services as an Independent Primary Instructor – RN.
The contractor will provide turnkey educational delivery and clinical competency verification for cohorts enrolled in California Department of Public Health (CDPH) approved Nurse Assistant Training Programs (NATP) and allied caregiving modules. Services encompass classroom theory instruction, hands-on clinical lab simulation, and on-site clinical rotation oversight at contracted healthcare facilities in accordance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22.
Scope of Services & Key Deliverables
The contractor operates autonomously regarding instructional delivery methods, pacing, and professional technique, subject strictly to CDPH regulatory requirements and curriculum standards:
1. CDPH Curriculum Execution: Deliver the approved 160-hour California NATP curriculum (60 hours classroom/theory, 100 hours clinical training) ensuring all state-mandated competencies—including the mandatory 16-hour pre-clinical core—are thoroughly instructed.
Clinical Competency Evaluation: Supervise, evaluate, and independently verify student clinical performance during partner-site rotations; complete and execute all CDPH Individual Student Performance Records (Form CDPH 283 A/B) and required clinical skill sign-offs.
2. Audit-Ready Documentation: Compile, verify, and submit complete cohort records (daily attendance logs, skills checklists, exam score rosters, and remediation records) meeting CDPH and institutional compliance audit standards at the conclusion of each instructional module. 3. Learning Environment Management: Exercise professional discretion in managing student group dynamics, clinical floor safety, infection control compliance, and adherence to facility partner rules.

Compensation, Expenses & Independent Relationship
* 1099 Invoicing: Compensation will be disbursed against monthly itemized invoices detailing completed instructional hours and cohort milestone deliverables. Bryan University will issue an annual IRS Form 1099-NEC. No state or federal tax withholdings, FICA, or SUI will be deducted. * No Benefits: This is not an offer of employment. The contractor is ineligible for employee benefits, including paid leave, health/welfare plans, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, or retirement contributions. * Travel & Expenses: As an independent commercial entity, the contractor is solely responsible for all operational expenses, personal vehicle maintenance, and local travel to instructional facilities.
