As a Locum NP Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients in the hospital setting. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results Develop and implement patient care plans Provide patient education and support to enhance health outcomes Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Participate in hospital rounds and patient consultations
Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in Internal Medicine Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Shifts: 7a-7p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
Nightly Volume: ~15 admits, 2-3 calls per hour
Duties: Evaluate and handle new admissions, EKG reviews for possible STEMIs, some critical care coverage, etc.
No procedures required
Support Staff: Hospitalist MD on backup call, APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
