Work Shift (if applicable): Shift 3 (United States of America) Job Description: Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. What to Expect Schedule Nights: 11PM-7:30AM rotates W/E Shifts differential for Nights and W/E Base Wage: $42.73/hour Our comprehensive total rewards support you, your family, and your future with: Blood Banking Training Program and paid certifications Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401K + 5% company match Tuition assistance up to $5k per year Free basic life and AD&D insurance Free short-and-long-term disability insurance Paid time off Employee Resource Groups Recognition and perks As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to: Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.(Ref Lab) Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab) Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services. Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations. Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success. Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required. Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required. State licensure as required by regulations. Minimum two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or Blood Banking certification required.
