Responsibilities - Deliver PT evaluation and treatment for inpatients, outpatients, and SNF patients across all ages, with emphasis on adults and geriatrics - Implement wound care, lymphedema management, and pelvic floor therapy (when trained); provide gait training, transfers, Hoyer/lift use, and home exercise programs - Apply basic orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric rehab concepts; utilize modalities as appropriate (e.g., e-stim, ultrasound, TENS) - Document findings and progress in Epic; collaborate with an interprofessional team to adjust care plans - Manage care across inpatient, outpatient, and SNF settings; participate in scheduling and coverage within clinician scope - Occasionally see pediatric or adolescent patients as part of a broader patient population
Requirements - Active Alaska state PT license (no pending licenses accepted) - BLS certification - Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; first-timers accepted - Pediatrics/adolescent experience preferred but not required - 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years - Epic charting experience - Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and SNF settings; willingness to float within scope - Hepatitis B vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccine not required (titers not accepted) - Permanent address non-local: at least 50 miles from the facility; relocation considerations for travel - Holidays: traveler must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) - Pre-start modules required; some hours may be required for training prior to start
