About the Role
The Pre/Post-Operative Registered Nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Working closely with physicians and the care team, this role is responsible for assessing patients, monitoring care before and after procedures, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
How You’ll Drive Our Mission Forward
* Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for ASC patients * Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and treatment plans * Administer medications and carry out physician orders safely and accurately * Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions * Maintain accurate EMR documentation and controlled substance records * Respond appropriately to emergency situations and patient needs * Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care * Assist with patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and follow-up calls * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment * Follow all ASC policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
What Makes You a Great Match
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program * Current Louisiana RN license * Current BLS and ACLS certifications * Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills * Previous cardiovascular or procedural nursing experience preferred * Advanced cardiovascular nursing certification preferred
