Overview Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound) — Travel assignment in Massena, NY (Outpatient imaging). Start date: 06/08/2026. Length: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,323–$2,425 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 4x10 Days. Facility type: Critical Access Hospital. This assignment is in an outpatient setting; first-time travelers are accepted. NY license in hand is required to submit; ARDMS and BLS are required. EPIC charting experience is required.

Responsibilities - Perform a range of ultrasound studies in the outpatient imaging department, including OB fetal surveys, abdominal, DVT (lower extremity venous), carotids, and breast imaging; assess findings and document results. - Use ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures when needed, including thoracentesis and paracentesis; ultrasound-guided biopsies are preferred when available. - Prepare and process images, ensure proper labeling and patient safety; document findings in the EPIC system with accurate, timely charting. - Adapt imaging techniques to a pediatric–adult patient population and collaborate with the radiology team to support diagnostic goals. - Participate in call coverage: every 3rd day after 6pm and every 3rd weekend; travelers may float to related areas as needed. - Maintain equipment and infection control standards; communicate any equipment or safety concerns to the team.
Requirements - NY state license in hand to submit - ARDMS required; BLS required - Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience - Outpatient imaging experience required - EPIC charting experience required - Preferred: ARRT (Sonography), RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-Peds, RVT - Ability to work in an outpatient imaging department; experience with OB, abdominal, vascular (Doppler), breast, and pediatric/adult scanning - Shift: 4x10 Days (exact hours to be confirmed with recruiter) - Pediatric coverage may be required; confirm exact age ranges with recruiter - Distance/local candidate policy to be confirmed with recruiter
