As an Occupational Therapist, You Will Be Responsible For: Planning and implementing individualized and group treatment programs in accordance with occupational therapy principles. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Documenting all patient treatments and encounters at each visit. Utilizing equipment and technology to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy – Required Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy – Preferred Work Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy – Preferred Licenses & Certifications: Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) – Required Georgia State License for Occupational Therapy – Required Essential Functions: Outcomes & Evaluations: Develops expected outcomes that guide continuity of care. Involves patient/family and other disciplines in determining expected outcomes. Modifies outcomes based on patient assessment changes. Includes patients and involved parties in evaluation. Evaluates plans based on patient responses and expected outcomes. Documents evaluation results clearly and accurately. Care Processes: Provides compassionate patient care and implements treatment plans. Bases care decisions on the established plan of care. Monitors and documents patient responses. Establishes rapport and adapts communication to patient needs. Recognizes age‑specific responses to treatment. Delivers effective therapeutic interventions. Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy. Supports social, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families. Manages challenging or emotional patient situations professionally. Assessment & Diagnosis: Collects data systematically and continuously. Identifies issues and develops diagnoses based on assessment findings. Prioritizes data collection according to patient condition and needs. Identifies expected outcomes and plans based on assessment results. Care Planning & Implementation: Develops individualized plans addressing patient diagnoses. Ensures care continuity through clear plans for the care team. Implements plans safely and in a timely manner. Documents implementation and any changes to the plan. Consults with healthcare providers and makes appropriate referrals. Utilizes community resources and systems to support care. Documentation: Submits required documentation in a timely manner. Uses clear, accurate, and audience‑appropriate terminology. Ensures documentation conforms to organizational standards, style, and format. Records processes, policies, products, and service information accurately. Technology & Equipment Use: Demonstrates technical skill with appropriate therapy equipment. Understands equipment operation and maintenance needs. Troubleshoots when problems arise. Uses technology to increase productivity. Adapts to new equipment or technology solutions. Additional Duties: Adheres to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines. Performs all responsibilities in alignment with the organization's core values, mission, and vision. Maintains current knowledge through education and training. Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in‑services, requirements, and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency in providing care to all patients based on age, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non‑clinical areas, completes age‑specific customer service training.
