This is a benefited, full-time position located at Scripps Coastal Solana Beach. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no evenings or weekends required. Serving ages 13 & up Total of 9 providers on site Small clinic with a great environment Looking for an MA to support one of our Provider's daily schedules Your Job Duties: Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting preferred Family medicine experience New grads welcome to apply!
