The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is responsible for caring for the Veterans of the Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Performs nursing duties under direction of a Medical Director, Registered Nurse Advanced Practitioner, or Registered Nurse. Prepares, administers, and documents oral and intramuscular medication. Initiates and maintains intravenous therapy. Ensure adequate supply of medical and treatment supplies. Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the LPN clinical skills. Documents appropriately on all required clinical forms. Inputs Physician’s orders into Electronic Health Record (Point Click Care). This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary: Second and Third shift: 15% Weekend and Holidays: 25% Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
