Full-Time Physical Therapist | Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal Care About the Role A full-time Physical Therapist is needed for an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence, Missouri. This position offers the opportunity to work with a broad patient population and provide care for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions in a professional clinical environment. The role includes evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, delivering hands-on care, documenting progress through WebPT, and working closely with a clinical team that includes Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced clinicians. Compensation is based on experience. Position Details Location: Independence, MO Employment Type: Full-Time Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic EMR System: WebPT Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Salary Range $65,000–$70,000 per year for new graduates $80,000–$90,000 per year for experienced Physical Therapists, based on years of experience Clinical Environment Modern outpatient orthopedic setting Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 visits per week Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants Collaborative and supportive team structure Professional growth and development opportunities available Preferred Schedule Options Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Tuesday off each week Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Responsibilities Evaluate patients and identify functional limitations, movement deficits, pain concerns, and therapy goals Develop treatment plans for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, and mobility work Instruct patients on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies Review patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed Document evaluations, visits, progress notes, and discharge summaries in WebPT Coordinate care with PTAs and other clinical team members Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and referral sources Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure New graduates are welcome to apply Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively in a team-based outpatient setting Insurance Plans Accepted The clinic serves patients covered by: Blue Cross Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare Medicare TRICARE Humana Aetna Health Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance 401K plan with Company Match 3 weeks PTO 8 Paid US Holidays CEU Allowance Sign-On Bonus Available Take the next step in your clinical career with an outpatient Physical Therapist role that offers structure, growth, and a strong professional team.
