Summary Job Functions
* Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
* Documents patient care provided.
* Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
* Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
* Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
* Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
* Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
* Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
* Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
* Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for
Education:
* Associate’s degree in nursing required, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
License:
* Current RN license to practice in the state of KY
Certifications:
* BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Handle with Care preferred.
