Optometric Technician – Full-Time
Location: In Person
We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the doctor by performing clinical testing and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from check-in through exam completion. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow and delivering high-quality care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
* Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and performing preliminary testing
* Assist the doctor during patient exams as needed
* Clean, sanitize, and restock exam rooms between patients
* Maintain accurate documentation in patient records
* Support front office operations when needed (filing, faxing, scanning, transcribing, etc.)
* Provide outstanding customer service and patient support
* Ensure compliance with office procedures and healthcare standards
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Prior experience in an optometric or medical office preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
* Comfortable using office equipment and electronic medical records systems
* Professional demeanor and appearance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented
* Positive attitude with a strong commitment to patient care
