POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, scope of practice, along with recognized professional standards and Health Partner and employer specific protocols and policy.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: * Graduated from an accredited school of nursing * Associate degree or diploma required * 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred * Additional qualifications may be applicable for specialty care
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: * Maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse’s licensure. * Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Assessment/Nursing Diagnosis
* Effectively assesses care needs of patients and care givers, prioritizes patient needs utilizing the nursing process; determines nursing diagnosis focused on care and identifies patient outcomes; develops patient care plan; implements and continuously evaluates the care plan; ensures patients are discharged with resolved educational needs * Collects and prioritizes data in a systematic and ongoing process that involves the patient, care giver, other health care providers and environment as appropriate * Uses appropriate evidence-based assessment techniques and instruments in data collection * Analyzes and interprets assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses
Formulates and revises nursing diagnoses that reflect the current patient status and communicates this with the patient, care giver and other colleagues within the health care team
