Inova Cardiology is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join the team. This role will be full time day position, Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 Job Responsibilities:
* Coordinates referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow up care as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist and/or primary care physician. * Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies and treatments following practical nursing standards and under the direct supervision of the physician. * Effectively communicates with healthcare team members, patients and families; Supports healthcare team members to achieve team goals and assigns appropriate tasks to care assistants. * Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders; Documents all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards and legal requirements for medical facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing * License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia * Experience: 2 years of nursing practice in a hospital or clinic setting. * Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
