About this role

Franklin University, an accredited, private, not-for-profit institution in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking adjunct faculty for the Family and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner programs. The School of Nursing is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners (AGPCNPs). Anticipated openings begin in January 2025, with qualified candidates added to a pool for future consideration. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching specific courses within the online FNP and AGPCNP programs.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality instruction and foster a supportive, engaging learning environment. * Facilitate both asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences. * Efficiently manage assigned courses, ensuring timely communication and grading. * Cultivate an inclusive, welcoming, and productive classroom atmosphere. * Address and assist in resolving student concerns related to course content and instruction. * Provide feedback and participate in course evaluations as needed.

Education/Experience Minimum Requirements:

* Master's degree in nursing. * At least 2 years of current clinical practice as an APRN. * Minimum 1 year of online teaching experience in a graduate nursing program. * Current unencumbered RN nursing license and APRN certification in the state of employment. * National APRN certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Doctoral degree in nursing or related field. *  Experience with asynchronous teaching. * Compact or multi-state license.
