Responsibilities: Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings Take and review dental X-rays (radiographs) in accordance with safety protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Document patient records accurately using dental practice management software Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants Requirements: Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Current CPR/BLS certification Experience with dental radiography and digital X-ray systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience with dental practice management software is a plus About Us: Jefferson Dental Health PC has been proudly serving the Watertown, NY community with high-quality, comprehensive dental care.
