Overview
This position will support pharmacy needs at the retail pharmacy located within St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation) Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification (ExCPT) Experience: At least 18 years of age Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year pharmacy Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations Intermediate computer skills.
