Summary:

Vighter is recruiting Licensed Vocational Nurses for a temporary assignment for 90 days in Dallas, TX, with a possibility of extension. LVNs would provide exceptional medical support and vocational nursing. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and contractual requirements.

Principle Accountabilities:

* Qualifying experience includes detention or correctional healthcare, residential healthcare, a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided direct patient care. * Successful completion of a US-based training program leading to licensure/certification as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN). The degree issuing institution and/or program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. * Must have a current, active, valid, unencumbered license/registration/certification to practice healthcare in the state in which the candidate will work. License/registration/certification must not have been withheld, suspended, revoked, denied, surrendered, or lapsed due to an investigation.  * Must possess a current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from one of the following approved organizations: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for health care providers, AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, American Red Cross CPB/BLS for the professional rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED for healthcare providers and professional responders. * Application of medical principles, clinical procedures, and techniques. * Alertness and skill in providing care and reacting to emergency situations. * Basic safety, infection control, quality assurance, records management, statistical information gathering, etc. * Experience in a detention/correctional and/or pediatric setting is highly preferred * Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not required. * Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Education:

* High School diploma or equivalent, LVN certification is required. 

Qualifications

* Must have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care and licensed/certified as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN).  * Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. * Must be able to clear a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement full background check.

Knowledge and Skills:

* Must have exceptional customer service skills. * Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision * Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills.

Duty Hours / On-call Requirements 

* The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week for an anticipated term of 90 days. 

Work Environment

* Location: Dallas, TX * Supportive team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.

Travel:

* As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Commuting is non-compensatory. All official travel is government funded.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day. * Must be willing to work overtime if necessary. * Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs. * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. and carry up to 10 feet. * Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders. * Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print. * Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. * Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment. * Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation. * Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS). * Must be a Citizen of the United States or legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
