The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at our Pine Valley Assisted Living campus will be an experienced nurse manager with an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of long-term care quality measures and wound care, be able to discuss improvement initiatives implemented in previous roles and demonstrate a proven track record of effective leadership.

The ADON will primarily coordinate daily resident services included in each care plan and provide education and development opportunities in a supportive environment. This role helps employees build the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to perform their duties effectively. The ADON will also coordinate learning experiences that support quality care and oversee nursing staff activities to ensure services meet State, Federal, and organizational guidelines.

Job Qualifications:

Education/Training:

1. Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited state-approved school of nursing is required. 2. Current licensure to practice in the State of Indiana.

Experience:

1. Two (2) years experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing. 2. One (1) year experience in a supervisory role. 3. One (1) year of acute care experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Strong verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and assessment skills. 2. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. 3. Understanding of the concepts of aging and the needs and concerns of the elderly.
