The Psychiatric Case Manager-Bilingual (English/Spanish) provides intake assessment, care coordination, and administrative support services within a dynamic community mental health clinic. This position serves as a liaison between clients, families, psychiatrists, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care, timely access to psychiatric services, and effective follow-up related to medications and treatment needs. The role requires bilingual proficiency, cultural sensitivity, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team. Requirements · Conducts intake assessments and provides referral and linkage services to clients and families · Provides assistance and coordination support to the psychiatric and clinical teams · Contacts and follows up with clients and/or parent/guardians regarding appointments, medications, and treatment coordination · Communicates with psychiatrists and pharmacies to facilitate medication management and refill requests · Obtains height, weight, pulse, and blood pressure at the start of psychiatric appointments and records information in the client’s case record · Completes billing slips when applicable · Completes Medication Administration Consent Forms for schools upon request of parent/guardian · Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system · Provides back-up support to reception staff as needed, including answering phones, greeting/checking in clients, and accepting fee payments · Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural differences and maintains client confidentiality at all times · Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To successfully perform this role, an individual must competently fulfill all essential responsibilities. · Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office management software. · Must be comfortable using computers, electronic medical records (EMRs), and telehealth platforms. Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies as needed. · Professional and courteous demeanor with a customer service-oriented mindset. · Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. · Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. · Experience with scheduling and office coordination preferred. Education and Experience: A high school diploma with a Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related discipline or healthcare administration is preferred. Language Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
