Job Title: Los Angeles Unarmed Model of Crisis Response – Case Manager
Department: UMCR
Reports to: Program Manager
Alcott Center for Mental Health Services, a Culver City based mental health organization, is seeking an organized, motivated and professional candidate for a full-time position providing field-based services in its Unarmed Model of Crisis Response program through the City of Los Angeles. This position is part of a program that receives and responds to crisis response calls through a centralized dispatch that includes social services components — such as mental health, substance abuse, suicide threat, behavioral distress, conflict resolution, and welfare check.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Respond to non-violent calls in the field that come in from centralized dispatch including calls related to behavioral health, mental health, substance use and well being checks * Provide field-based crisis intervention, including de-escalation, resource linkage, risk assessment and community integration * Work comfortably and independently in field settings * Follow instructions, follow-up and complete assigned tasks * Demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills * Collaborate effectively in a team setting and with community partners * Perform basic computer skills required for record keeping * Other duties may be designated as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
* B.A. or B.S. degree preferred * Case management experience required * Experience working with unhoused population and with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges preferred * Bilingual: Spanish preferred * COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required. * Proof of valid California Driver’s License required, Clean Driving Record required, and must be insurable on Alcott policy. * Live Scan is required.
POSITION SHIFT:
9:00am to 9:00 pm or 9:00pm to 9:00am (12-hour shifts, with no on-call responsibilities when not on shift; Will work three-day work week followed by a four-day work week on a rotating basis Monday-Sunday)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
