Monday - Friday, 8 hour or 10 hour shifts available. Some weekends required.

JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Provides evaluation and treatment of patients referred by an MD for Occupational Therapy services.  Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.  Develops a plan of care for patients after evaluation. Documents all care provided and ensures that charges are entered accurately and timely per department policy.  Participates in planning for budget needs, works as a team member of the OT and Rehab teams.  Participates in department  and organization improvement projects, equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.  

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Has demonstrated ability to deliver competent, appropriate care and coordination of a care plan that is approved by attending physicians. 

EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school for Occupational Therapy. 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Licensed in the state of Montana as an Occupational Therapist. 

Aptitudes: Mental acuity/intelligence -ability to recognize changes in client's physical and mental capacity. Mechanical ability to demonstrate and provide education on the use of  ADL equipment. Organization-ability to allocate appropriate time and resources efficiently to meet client needs.  Communicate-must be able to demonstrate appropriate communication to interdisciplinary team members, clients and physicians daily.  Emotional development to enable appropriate professional interactions with peers, and supervisor.  Interacts professionally with clients/families in crisis who may be stressed or dealing with major changes in physical function or cognition.
