Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Dayton in-patient Detox location. The LPN will play a crucial role in our residential treatment program, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality medical care and support throughout their recovery journey. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with addiction.
Responsibilities:
* Provide nursing care and support to clients undergoing addiction treatment in a residential setting. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner. * Monitor clients' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical team. * Assist with medical assessments, screenings, and intake processes for new clients. * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and counselors to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. * Educate and counsel clients on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation according to regulatory standards. * Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. * Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
* Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio. * Previous experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing is preferred. * Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. * Understanding of addiction and its impact on individuals and families. * Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
